The Construction Process for Custom-Built Swimming Pools
Our pool design process follows these steps to bring your pool from your dreams into reality:
Step 1 — Initial Consultation
- Present a physical or digital property survey and meet with one of our pool designers to see your vision brought to life via a 3D state-of-the-art software program.
- This initial consultation and design session is free of charge.
Step 2 — Permitting
- Once you've filled out all required documents, our permitting specialists work side-by-side with engineers to push your plans through to the required city or county so we can start our dig.
Step 3 — Pre-Site Visit
- Lay out location for pool, equipment & deck.
- Ensure there is proper access to the site.
- Answer any questions you may have.
Step 4 — Layout, Dig & Steel
- The dig begins.
- Steel reinforcement is put into place.
- Rough plumb will be completed.
Step 5 — Fiberglass, Gunite or Shotcrete Application
- We will choose the best quality application based on your job.
- Our team meticulously shoots the pool to ensure integrity.
Step 6 — Plumbing & Grade
- Strip the forms and rough grade the area.
- Run underground plumbing lines.
Step 7 — Deck & Tile
- Add tile and coping.
- Set pavers or travertine.
- Place and pour footers (if you are receiving a cage).
Step 8 — Cage & Equipment
- Measure and install pool screen (if included).
- Set equipment where desired.
Step 9 — Pool Plaster
- Clean and prep pool shell for plaster application.
- Once the plaster is applied, we begin to fill the pool!
Step 10 — Pool Startup
- Add chemicals to balance your pool (it will take one month to completely balance your pool).
- Do weekly brushing to ensure your surface's warranty.
Step 11 — Site Cleanup & Final Walk-Through
- Clear construction site.
- Review punch list items to ensure you have the quality you deserve.
Step 12 — Pool School
- Once it's balanced, we will teach you how to maintain your pool.
- We also add salt during this step, if applicable!
Step 13 — Enjoy!
